What is Grief Coaching?

Grief Coaching is a specialty of coaching that focuses on bringing compassion and understanding as we assist you in navigating the grief process and any other unfinished business surrounding your loss.  It is an opportunity to explore your relationship with your lost loved one in a safe, supportive environment. In the coaching process, we will provide you with tasks and exercises designed to support you in the process and give guidance for managing your grief.

What if my loss is not about a loved one, but a job loss or divorce or some other significant loss in my life?

Your grief coach is prepared to help you process any type of loss in your life, including divorce, job loss, financial loss or other losses that are standing in the way of moving forward with being all that you might be and become.  The coach will provide a safe and compassionate space to talk about your loss, how it is impacting you and your life, and how you might develop strategies for recovery. This means exploring obstacles, identifying the vision for where you want to be, and developing steps for achieving that vision recovery.

How and where does grief coaching take place?

You and your coach make contact over the phone or Skype for an agreed session time, usually 3-4 times per month. There is flexibility in that you can talk to your grief coach from anywhere in the world.

How long does grief coaching take?
